brittany hartman
Brittany is the founder & Executive Director of The Novelty Collective. She has confidently known her life’s calling from a young age, having a natural gift for facilitating connection & collaboration amongst artists. Brittany earned her Bachelor’s in Human Services & Student Ministry from Geneva College. For the last fifteen years, she has been active in various after-school & camp ministries. In 2016, Brittany established The COVE Art Center at Greenstone Church where she serves as Program Director of her very own, unique afterschool program. In 2021, Brittany stepped into two new roles: Director of Greenstone Church & Conference Evangelist for the United Methodist Conference.
Through The Novelty Collective & her position as a conference evangelist, Brittany seeks to restore the value of art & the support of artists in her community & every community, but especially within the Church. She encourages self-defeated artists to invest in their talents again & advocates for those who have not found their own voice. Her passions for art & for people are rooted in her understanding of mankind’s relationship with the Creator. Brittany is a zealous follower of Jesus. One of her greatest joys is found in studying scripture.
She spends much of her time elevating other creatives, yet Brittany herself is quite a talented artist. Brittany is a published poet. She also designs jewelry that represents biblical themes without implementing traditional symbolism. Clavicle Havoc subverts the norm in faith-based adornments.
